Procon Canoas started this Monday (24) a debt negotiation campaign that will continue until August 11. The first edition of “Renegocia!” is promoted by the National Consumer Secretariat (Senacon) and aims to help indebted consumers.
During the event, consumers with debts will have the opportunity to go to Procon Canoas, where they will be asked to present personal documentation (RG or CPF) along with contracts or proof of debts.
It is important to point out that both bank and non-bank debts may be negotiated, in accordance with the provisions of the Over-Indebtedness Law. This includes financial commitments resulting from consumer relations, such as credit operations, purchases in installments and continuous provision of services. It is worth mentioning, however, that some debts are not covered by the mutirão, such as those arising from credit agreements with real guarantee, real estate financing and rural credit.
The director of Procon Canoas, Taís Marques, points out that this event is an excellent opportunity for consumers to negotiate their overdue debts, thus enabling the recovery of their credit and the reconstruction of their citizenship.
