On the 4th of August, Teatro Sesc Canoas will be the stage for an exciting and supportive show: the Artur de Mari & Convidados Beneficent Show, promoted by the Association of the Visually Impaired of Canoas (ADEVIC). The main attraction will be the talented singer Artur de Mari, who won over the public by participating in The Voice Kids program in 2022. The event is scheduled to start at 8 pm and aims to raise funds to improve the entity’s facilities and, thus, expand specialized care for people with blindness or low vision.
Singer with total blindness will thrill the audience with special performance
Artur de Mari is an inspiration to the local community, as he lives in Canoas and faces total blindness, the result of a retinoblastoma diagnosed when he was only four months old. Despite the difficulties faced, the young singer found in music a way to express his art and emotions. As an ADEVIC member, he receives weekly music lessons, which reinforces the importance of the association in providing development opportunities for its members.
In addition to Artur’s talent, the show will feature the special participation of renowned music instructors from the region: Renato Larrosa and William Varela. Singer Agatha Nedel will also brighten up the show, promising to enchant the audience with her captivating voice. Together, the artists will perform 16 songs that made their mark at the time and were successful as soundtracks for Brazilian soap operas, providing an unforgettable show for those present.
With the purpose of benefiting ADEVIC, all the amount raised during the event will be fully allocated to improvements in the association’s headquarters. One of the planned initiatives is the creation of an ophthalmological office, an important achievement for the entity, as it will enable a more comprehensive specialized service to members and the community in general.
The night of the Beneficent Show will be marked by special moments, as the event will coincide with Artur de Mari’s 13th birthday. The young singer will celebrate his date in style, surrounded by friends, family and supporters of his career in music and in the fight for the inclusion of visually impaired people.
The partnership with language school KNN adds even more excitement to the evening, as the institution will draw a six-month scholarship among spectators who purchase tickets. This initiative seeks to encourage access to education and knowledge, contributing to the academic and professional training of young talents in the region.
