Heat wave
After facing days of intense cold, residents of Canoas, in the Metropolitan Region of Porto Alegre, will experience a sudden change in the weather this weekend. According to the Climate Resilience and Civil Defense Office of Canoas (Eclima), a hot air mass will act over Rio Grande do Sul and raise temperatures in the city, which can reach 30ºC on Sunday (23).
The sun will predominate between clouds, but there is also a possibility of fog in the morning. The wind will be dry and hot, and can blow from moderate to strong at times. The heat wave is atypical for the Rio Grande do Sul winter and should last until Monday (24), when a cold front should bring rain and a drop in temperatures.
