The Department of Animal Protection of São Leopoldo, together with the Ipson Pavani Environmental Defense Group of the Municipal Civil Guard, carried out this Friday (21) the rescue of a horse. The animal was found on Rua Presidente Roosevelt and showed obvious signs of dehydration and malnutrition.
To ensure the well-being of the horse, he received immediate veterinary care and was sent to the property maintained by the City Hall, intended for the shelter of horses collected in situations of animal traction or mistreatment.
Adoption
Unfortunately, the horse did not have any identification chip, which made it impossible to find out the name of the animal’s owner. The daily expenses of the welcomed animals are borne by the Municipal Government. The rescued horses are waiting for adoption, and for those interested in adopting, it is necessary to present documentation that proves the ownership of a rural property capable of offering the proper comfort and care to the animal.
