L’Occitane au Brésil presents the launch of the first shampoo bar of its best-selling line, Patauá. This release marks the brand’s entry into the market of solid hair care products. The new Patauá Solid Purifying Shampoo, with 60g, will be available at official points of sale from July 4th, for the price of R$ 47.90, starting the Patauá Sólido subline, which adds to L’Occitane au Brésil’s sustainable portfolio.
The shampoo bar contains Patauá oil, extracted from the fruit of the Patauazeiro, a palm tree found in the Amazon rainforest. This high-performance formula deeply cleanses the scalp and leaves strands feeling soft and smooth.
It is suitable for all hair types, helps control oiliness, does not accumulate residues and facilitates washing due to its quick and easy rinse. In addition, Patauá Solid Purifying Shampoo is composed of 97% biodegradable ingredients and has 70% less water in its composition. The product’s packaging is made from 100% recycled paper, reinforcing the brand’s socio-environmental commitment to Brazilian nature.
Patauá Oil is an ingredient known to be used by riverside and indigenous communities as a hair tonic for generations. It leaves the strands more hydrated, nourished and silky. On Ilha do Marajó, the largest river island in Brazil, L’Occitane au Brésil found artisanal Patauá oil. This oil has a high content of fatty acids and essential nutrients for the hair, bringing benefits such as reducing frizz and hair volume, increasing shine, nourishing and replenishing hair mass, as well as repairing and strengthening damaged hair.
