Next Saturday, the 22nd, the population of Novo Hamburgo will have the opportunity to guarantee their protection against the flu and covid-19 at two vaccination points strategically located in the municipality. The initiative is promoted by the Municipal Health Department, which aims to expand vaccination coverage and strengthen preventive measures to combat these diseases.
Vaccine House – Protection for Children and Adults
Casa de Vacina, located at Avenida Coronel Frederico Link, nº 900, Rio Branco neighborhood, will be open from 9am to 4pm. In this place, the doses against the flu and covid-19 will be applied to children and adults, in addition to offering the vaccination booklet update. Flu immunization will be available for children over six months and adults of all ages.
For covid-19, vaccination will be carried out in adolescents from 12 years old, using Pfizer’s monovalent immunizer. Adolescents with comorbid conditions (also ages 12 and older) and adults 18 years and older will receive Pfizer’s bivalent vaccine. It is important to remember that the presentation of an identity document with a photo, proof of residence in Novo Hamburgo or SUS card of the Municipality is mandatory to receive any vaccine. In addition, for vaccination against covid-19, proof of vaccination of previous doses must be presented.
Bourbon Shopping – Various Immunization Options
Another option to get vaccinated is the vaccination point on the ground floor of Bourbon Shopping Novo Hamburgo, located at Avenida Nações Unidas, 2001, Rio Branco neighborhood. At this location, vaccination will be available from 1 pm to 6 pm.
Influenza immunization will be offered to children over six months and adults. As for covid-19, vaccination will be available for children from 5 to 11 years old, using the Pfizer Baby vaccine. Teenagers aged 12 and over will receive a dose of Pfizer Monovalent vaccine, while people aged 60 and over will receive Pfizer Bivalent vaccine. It is important to point out that children will not receive the vaccine against covid-19 at this point of vaccination.
Just like at Casa de Vacina, it is essential to present an identity document with a photo, proof of residence in Novo Hamburgo or SUS card of the Municipality. In addition, for vaccination against covid-19, proof of vaccination of previous doses must be presented.
