This Thursday, July 13th, Shopping Pelotas will celebrate World Rock Day in a special way, bringing the renowned international band Star Beatles to a free concert. Customers will have the opportunity to enjoy the performance in the Food Court, where the band will pay an official tribute to the iconic Beatles. In addition to performing the most striking songs of the English band, the group is characterized by the costumes that made history in the Liverpool quartet.
A history of success and worldwide recognition
With a trajectory of 13 years, Star Beatles was created in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and has performed more than 2000 concerts in Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Ecuador, Colombia, Mexico and England. In 2016, the band became the official museum of the 1st and only Beatles in Brazil, establishing itself as one of the best representatives of the legacy of the Fab Four. The following year, the group was invited to the 25th Liverpool Beatle Week, an event that celebrated 60 years since the meeting between John Lennon and Paul McCartney.
Pelotas receives tribute to rock and beatlemania
Now it’s Pelotas’ turn to host Star Beatles, a group that exalts rock and passion for the Beatles. One of the highlights of the presentation will be the costumes of the members, who will wear suits, lab coats and coats from historic concerts, such as the costumes from the famous APPLE terrace and the iconic image of the Beatles crossing the crosswalk on Abbey Road. The instruments will also be a show of their own for the band’s fans, with emphasis on the Hofner bass, used by Paul McCartney, and the Gretsch guitars, George Harrison’s trademark.
An international and free tribute to World Rock Day
“It will be an international and free tribute to celebrate World Rock Day through one of the bands that most marked this musical style and that continues to win over crowds of fans even today”, invites Michelle Flores, Marketing Coordinator of Shopping Pelotas. Star Beatles is concerned with providing a show that transports the public on a journey through time, recalling the history of music in each song. The expectation is that everyone can enjoy and celebrate this unique moment together.
