Commitment to animal welfare — RAR Indústria de Alimentos, headquartered in Vacaria (RS), announces the launch of its products with the Animal Welfare seal. Sergio Martins Barbosa, CEO of the company, points out that the seal certifies products derived from 100% of the milk produced by the company itself, guaranteeing consumers its quality and sustainable origin.
Recognition and traceability
RAR products that use exclusively the milk produced on its farm now feature the animal welfare seal issued by Integral Certifications, one of the main certification companies in Brazil. After a rigorous audit and traceability of the milk, from collection to final processing, certification was granted, allowing RAR milk cream and butter to display the seal on their packaging.
Commitment to sustainability
Sergio Martins Barbosa points out that certification is a way of showing consumers that the quality of RAR products is guaranteed and that investments in sustainable actions in agribusiness will continue to be a priority for the company. He emphasizes that all employees share the mission to respect animals and nature.
Pioneer recognition in southern Brazil
The RAR farm recently received animal welfare certification, becoming the first in the south of the country to obtain this recognition. Sergio Barbosa celebrates this achievement and announces that, after the necessary maturation time, the famous Gran Formaggio RAR cheese, the first of the grana type produced outside Italy, will also display the animal welfare seal on its packaging.
Seal of origin and provenance
RAR’s certification was granted after a rigorous assessment carried out by the company Neocert, responsible for auditing and verifying compliance with the requirements. The certification program was based on the rules of the World Health Organization, as well as on research carried out by Brazilian and international universities and institutions, adapted to the reality of livestock in Brazil. The seal is essential to inform and guarantee consumers the origin and origin of the food.
