MC Katia, Faithful, revealed that she will need to amputate part of her foot, after undergoing the removal of a myoma, discovered about a year ago. “I’m still recovering from myoma surgery, but I still have a struggle, as I still have circulation problems in my leg. Unfortunately, I’m going to lose half of my foot, which is necrotic”, she said in an interview with Extra.
The funk singer also stated that she runs the risk of losing part of her leg. “I’m swallowing hard, but resigned, because there’s no other way. Doctors are doing everything, but my life is worth more. If it has to be this way… My fingers are all black. Unfortunately, the fibroid and cigarettes did that to me, ”she lamented.
In June, MC Katia vented about the diagnosis of myoma and the consequences that the health problem left on her kidneys. “A year ago I was admitted to the hospital and a mass appeared in my uterus and the doctors said it could be cancer. I did other tests and thank God it’s not cancer, it’s a benign tumor in my uterus. I will operate, I will lose [meu] uterus and ovary.
“Because of this fibroid, my kidneys are failing. I’m not able to walk anymore. It’s killing me, I’m being treated by the SUS and you know how it is”, added the funk pioneer.
Katia claimed to be out of work because of the condition and asked fans for help. On the internet, she asks her followers to collaborate financially. “I have to take the anticoagulant, which is not cheap. All that is happening to me, made me stop at home. I don’t go indoors, I’m resting, my work is funk, I have no other resource. My husband works with me, my family ends up giving me a little bit here and there”.
