The Municipal Secretariat for Culture and International Relations of São Leopoldo (Secult) released the projects selected for the occupation of the Municipal Theater during the second half of 2023. With a total of 27 artistic shows, covering the areas of music, theater and dance, the Teatro Municipal will host exciting performances from August to December.
Defined criteria and dates
Following the Regulation for Occupation of the Municipal Theater of São Leopoldo 02/2023 and its Annexes I and II, the selection criteria were rigorously applied. The dates for the presentations were proposed by those registered and analyzed in accordance with the regulations, also taking into account the availability of a schedule combined with Secult’s activities.
Tests and regulation
In addition to the presentations, the groups also requested space for rehearsals, as provided for in the regulation. Secult will contact the selected groups to deal with these issues. It is important to emphasize that all shows, events and rehearsals must fully respect the Theater Rules, ensuring a safe and suitable environment for artistic productions.

The Secretary of Culture and International Relations, Marcel Frison, expressed his satisfaction with the occupation of the Municipal Theater: “We received a significant number of shows and we are very happy with the occupation of the Theater, this important public cultural facility in our city”.
