The Department of Culture, Sport and Leisure (Secel) of Lajeado promotes three new cultural exhibitions at the Casa de Cultura during the month of July. The exhibitions will be open for visitation until the 28th of July and are free, open to the community.
This month’s exhibits include “Embroidery on Canvas”, “Nature art” and “The Guardians of the Time Rift”.

In the exhibition “Embroidery on canvas”, artist Nadja Freire Dórea Soares, born in Salvador, Bahia, presents her tapestry technique developed as a hobby over the years. During the Covid-19 pandemic, she embroidered screens as a form of distraction. Now, she wants to share her work, showing that crafts are excellent therapy, whatever the situation.
Guardians of the Dark World
In the exhibition “The guardians of the dark world”, the artist Paulo César Giongo, born in Lajeado, exhibits paper sculptures using the modeling technique. He created an artistic trilogy called “The Guardians of the Time Rift”.

The exhibition “Nature arte”, by artist Marcos Schmitt, born in Cruzeiro do Sul, features natural sculptures created from pieces found in nature, such as tree roots. Marcos’ work highlights a close look at the possibilities offered by nature.
The Casa de Cultura is open from Monday to Thursday, from 8 am to 11:30 am and from 1:30 pm to 4:45 pm, and on Friday, from 8 am to 2 pm, without closing at noon.
