On Tuesday (4), Casa do Gaúcho, in Parque da Harmonia, will host a benefit show in support of the more than 2.1 million people affected by the extratropical cyclone that swept through Rio Grande do Sul. The event, called Ajuda Rio Grande, will feature more than 30 artists from two important segments of popular music from Rio Grande do Sul – bailão and gauchesco –, in addition to special guests.
The show starts at 5 pm and runs until midnight, with performances alternating between the Rainha Musical and Passarela dance groups and the fandango groups João Luiz Corrêa and Tchê Guri. Among the confirmed attractions are names like Renato Borghetti, Neto Fagundes, Luiz Marenco, Thedy Corrêa and Guri de Uruguaiana. Country duo Augusto & Rafael, who broke the charts with the hit “Dona Chica”, will also participate in the event.
