Last Tuesday (27th), the Pelotas Chamber of Shopkeepers (CDL) held an extremely important meeting with the aim of discussing technical feasibility for carrying out activities such as fairs, conferences, shows and artistic presentations at the Centro de Fenadoce events throughout the year.
The meeting was attended by Federal Deputy Daniel Trzeciak, the General Commander of the Military Fire Brigade, Colonel Eduardo Estêvam Camargo Rodrigues, and the Permanent Engineer Responsible for the Fire Prevention Plan (PPCI) of the Centro de Eventos Fenadoce and legal representative from Inove Project and Prevention Ltd., Mauricio Nogueira.
The space of the Events Center, which belongs to CDL Pelotas, is currently regulated with a Fire Prevention Plan of F-10 characteristics (Events Center). However, the intention of the meeting was to seek an understanding with the Command of the Fire Department to bring the place into line with state legislation, enabling the continuous use of the building for holding events, provided that a specific PPCI is presented, without the need for comply with a minimum period of 90 days between them (except for activities that characterize the Events Center as a nightclub).
Daniel Centeno, Managing Director of CDL Pelotas, was present at the meeting and highlighted the importance of the topic for the entire southern region, since holding events drives the local economy and tourism. Centeno said: “We are carrying out studies to evaluate possible technical and logistical improvements in the structure, but the conversation with the Commander was fundamental, as we received a satisfactory response and we are already attentive to the notes made during the meeting”.
CDL Pelotas is committed to seeking solutions that allow the full use of the Fenadoce Events Center, boosting the events sector in the region and strengthening the local economy.
