A video of the moment when two autistic twin brothers met singers Zezé Di Camargo and Luciano at a concert by the duo at Arena das Dunas, in Natal, gained repercussions on social networks. That’s because Zezé imitates the repetitive movement made by one of them when they meet.
The situation – which occurred last Saturday (24) – was pointed out in a post by digital influencer Ivan Baron, who talks about capacitism, and it went viral on social media.
The g1 report sought singer Zezé Di Camargo, through the press office, to comment on the matter, but did not receive a response until the most recent update of this report.
The twin brothers are Ângelo and Augusto Maia, who are well-known people in the Potiguar capital and have more than 100,000 followers in just one social network. Their mother, who reports their daily lives, has more than 280,000 followers.

‘That’s not cool and it’s capacitive’
In the video that went viral on social networks, Ivan Baron says that “involuntarily the singer imitates the stereotype of one of them” by imitating the movements and that this is disrespectful (see post below).
“It is very problematic when neurotypical people try to imitate behaviors, gestures, attitudes of neurodivergents, in an attempt to make a joke. As much as it is in an affectionate way, this is not done, it is not legal and it is empowering”, said Ivan Baron in the video.
The influencer explained that stereotypies, or stims, are repetitive movements common in autistic people.
“The way the guy does it in the video is the way he has to express himself in a unique and particular way, which only he has. Therefore, this should not be imitated by anyone, but respected”.
The duo Zezé di Camargo and Luciano was the main attraction of Saturday’s program (24) at São João de Natal. The two performed at Arena das Dunas, where they also gave the opportunity to the singer Melissa Farias to sing with them.
