Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1/2 cup of water
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- A bit of salt
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1 cup Dona Benta Traditional Wheat Flour
- 1 cup of dulce de leche for the filling
- 6 pieces of paçoca for breading
Preparation mode:
In a saucepan, mix the milk, water, sugar, salt and butter. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
When it boils, pour the flour all at once and stir constantly until a ball of dough forms. Use a spatula to stir the dough for approximately seven minutes over low heat to cook completely.
Keep pressing the dough with a wooden spoon or spatula so that the cooking is uniform. When the dough comes off the pan and takes on a yellowish color, turn off the heat and transfer the dough to a worktop.
Knead the dough until it cools completely. Open small circles of dough with your hand, fill each circle with 1/2 spoon (coffee) of dulce de leche and close forming the coxinha.
Do not add too much stuffing, otherwise the coxinha will leak. Coat in beaten egg and roll in breadcrumbs. Fry the coxinhas in hot oil.
