Aleksander de Vasconcellos, Deputy Commodore for Sports at Jangadeiros, emphasizes the importance of the Copa Barra Limpa for the club. “In addition to honoring the illustrious sailor who gives our school its name, this regatta marks the end of the semester. Therefore, the maximum participation of competitors is crucial to honor this event”, declares Aleksander, wishing good winds to the sailors. The name of the championship is a tribute to Walter Hunshe, known as Barra Limpa, champion in the Penguim class and who had a significant influence on the history of Jangadeiros.
The event program includes three exciting regattas, scheduled to start at 1 pm, in Raia da Tristeza, in front of Clube dos Jangadeiros. The course selected will be the challenging four-legged barla-sota, with the ORC and S-30 classes being the first to set sail. Next, it will be the turn of the HPE 25, RGS and Microtoner 19 classes to show their skills at sea.
