The Union of Metallurgical, Mechanical and Electrical Material Industries of Caxias do Sul and Region (Simecs) will present on Thursday, June 22nd, another edition of Conectao Tendências, an event that will address the theme “Materials Technology: how to improve the performance of parts and equipment through innovative materials”. The meeting, which will take place face-to-face and free of charge, will start at 8:00 am in the Living Space at Simecs headquarters, located next to CIC Caxias. Registration is open and can be done through the website of the Simecs.
The main objective of the event is to promote the discussion on how the incorporation of innovative materials in the production processes can contribute to increase the productivity, quality and competitiveness of local industries. To enrich the discussions, two renowned professionals from the region, who have extensive experience and knowledge of the needs of the sector, were invited.
One of the speakers is Isabella Borghetti, Industrial Manager of Master Power and BoomaTech Graphene. She is a specialist in Logistics and International Negotiation from DMU Chicago, as well as in Executive Management from Universidade de Caxias do Sul (UCS). In addition, Isabella acts as Simecs Regional Coordinator and is a member of the Innovation Commission of Elos Hub, of the Youth Division of Federasul, and of the Ladies in Tech Institute, a startup member of the Helice Network. The other speaker is Alexandre Casaril, Director of Research, Development and Innovation at Fras-Le. He has a degree in materials engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), as well as a master’s and doctorate in Materials Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS).
Attendees will be treated to a welcome breakfast and will have the opportunity to interact and ask questions at the end of the presentations. The event promises to be an excellent opportunity for professionals in the metallurgical, mechanical and electrical sectors of Caxias do Sul and the region to improve their knowledge of materials technology and innovation, driving the development of the local industry.
