The event celebrating the 75th anniversary of the State of Israel took place at the auditorium of the Israeli Federation of Rio Grande do Sul (FIRS) in Porto Alegre, last Sunday (18). The meeting addressed the diplomatic challenges faced by Israel in the face of a new global reality.
The president of FIRS, Marcio Chachamovich, highlighted the importance of initiatives like this one: “It is increasingly necessary to promote dialogue and mutual understanding between different cultures and perspectives. The presence of Vivian Aisen is a clear example of how the Jewish community is committed to this mission, addressing sensitive issues relevant to the current global context,” said Chachamovich.
The lecture given by Vivian Aisen provided participants with an in-depth view of Israel’s position on crucial and contemporary issues. Among the main topics discussed were Israel’s stance on the Ukraine war, trade relations between the United States and China, as well as efforts to establish new points of contact and strengthen relations with Arab countries. In addition, political dynamism and the challenges that still persist in the Middle East were discussed.
The event was attended by entities and members of the Jewish community, who actively participated through questions and debates. In addition, the diplomat was present at the FIRS Breakfast this Monday (19), for a chat on the subject with the organization’s directors.
