Caxias do Sul – Next Sunday, June 18th, the Department of Animal Protection (DPA), linked to the Municipal Secretary of the Environment (Semma), will be present in the most recent edition of the Vet Day at the University of Caxias do Sul (UCS). During the event, there will be an exciting Adoption Fair, from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm, with the presence of animals waiting for a home at the Municipal Kennel.
To adopt a pet, it is necessary to present an identification document with a photo and an updated proof of address. The fair will take place in front of the Instituto Hospitalar Veterinário (IHVET), located on the university’s main campus, in the Petrópolis neighborhood, close to the UCS Zoo.
UCS Vet Day is an event that brings together professors, professionals and students of the Veterinary Medicine course, together with partner companies in the veterinary field, with the aim of sharing information and guidance on the practices of the profession and animal care. The community at large is invited to participate.
In addition to the Adoption Fair, there will also be a collection point for the Pet Warm Campaign at the hospital. At this location, donations of clothing, feed, beds and blankets will be accepted, which will be used to warm the animals during the winter.
Donations to the Department of Animal Protection are also very welcome, as they will be used to help the animals that are in the public kennel.
