Trancista Thais Medeiros de Oliveira, 25, who was hospitalized about four months ago after smelling pepper, was discharged from the hospital postponed because the family still could not set up the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at home to receive the young woman. The trancista is hospitalized at the State Center for Rehabilitation and Readaptation Dr. Henrique Santillo (Believing), Goiânia.
“It’s all very expensive, but thank God there are a lot of people helping with the crowdfunding. We are waiting for part of the money to be released so that we can start organizing”, explained the young woman’s mother, Adriana Medeiros.
Adriana stated that many adaptations will be necessary when Thaís is discharged from the hospital. In addition to having to make a mini ICU in the young woman’s room, adapting the whole house to receive her daughter, Adriana says that she needs to look for a house closer to the hospital.
“We have already reached the initial goal for raising the money, but we need a larger amount because, in addition to the ICU, we need to pay for the treatment, exams, medicines. There’s still a lot of treatment ahead and it’s all very expensive, every thing I look at gives me a thud”, said Adriana.
The trancista has been hospitalized at Crer for about a month, after leaving Santa Casa de Anápolis.
“The pain is very great, I miss her happy, her talking, playing with her daughters. Her daughters miss her a lot, they say they just want mom and grandma at home”, said Adriana with emotion.
