The French-Brazilian cosmetics brand L’Occitane au Brésil once again shares the properties of Licuri throughout Brazil, bringing back the body line to its portfolio.
Licuri, an almond obtained from the Licurizeiro tree, is widely recognized as a symbol of the northeastern hinterland due to its economic importance to local communities. Almonds and oil are extracted from this fruit, which is used in homemade recipes and body care, due to its repairing and moisturizing properties for the skin.
Combining the high performance of this ingredient with a history of valuing women’s work and nature, Licuri returns to the brand’s shelves with a modern visual identity, new products and a rustic woody fragrance with floral and musky touches. Licuri oil is a powerful 100% vegetable oil, which promotes skin hydration and repair, forming a protective barrier against daily pollution, protecting it against free radicals caused by external aggressions and preventing premature aging.
L’Occitane au Brésil took advantage of the traditional knowledge associated with the Production Cooperative of the Piemonte and Diamantina Region (Coopes) on the uses of Licuri oil, to use it as the main ingredient of the line. Almond oil is extracted at the cooperative, which, together with the technical support offered by the brand, contributes to the development of the region and the preservation of the Caatinga.
The process begins with harvesting the Licuri bunches in a sustainable way, followed by the breaking of the fruits, the roasting of the almonds and then the pressing to obtain the oil, known as the jewel of the semi-arid region, responsible for the inspiration and benefits of this line. .
The line comprises Liquid Soap in Oil, Body Deodorant Oil and Body Deodorant Moisturizing Cream Gel, all clinically and dermatologically tested.
