The 29th Fenadoce, which started on June 2, has already received around 81,000 people and sold over 600,500 sweets. In this edition, the theme of the fair is “Doce Sabor da Infância” and offers several activities for children. One of them was a gastronomy class-show that took place this Wednesday (07), with the support of Doçaria Pelotense and the participation of the “Students in Action” project, by Faculdade Senac Pelotas. The children learned about the history and preparation of quindim, one of the typical sweets in Pelotas. The Kids Culinary workshops are free and open to the public, and interested institutions can schedule a visit with Senac College.
Another highlight of the day was the launch of the program “Pelotas, Cidade das Crianças”, by the Municipality of Pelotas, with the presence of Mayor Paula Mascarenhas. The program aims to make the city more welcoming and safe for children, with outdoor spaces to play freely. The Mayor praised the team that created the program and Fenadoce for valuing children in this year’s theme.
For the holiday, the 29th Fenadoce expects to receive many visitors and offer attractions and entertainment for all tastes. The Food Court has 26 options of restaurants, snack bars and bars for those who want to have a meal or a happy hour with friends and family. Visitors can also check out the music and dance shows on the fair’s stages, in addition to special recipes at the Gastronomy Festival, such as butiá and gorgonzola risotto.
The 29th Fenadoce is sponsored by Banrisul, Osirnet Empório Gelei, and supported by Sicredi and Ecosul. Pelotas City Hall, Pelotas City Council and the Government of the State of Rio Grande do Sul are institutional supporters. It was carried out by the Chamber of Shopkeepers of Pelotas.
