The first days of the 29th Fenadoce were well received by visitors who came from various parts of the state and even from neighboring countries. The event, which will take place daily until June 18, has captivated the public with the theme “Sweet taste of childhood”, a celebration of childhood and the sweet tradition passed down through generations. The official opening ceremony will take place on Tuesday, the 6th, at 7:30 pm, in Cidade do Doce.
On Sunday (04), visitors who were at the fair were delighted with the sweets, the decoration and the participation of children who were part of the artistic cast, representing confectioners and ants. Sara Vargas, a 52-year-old businesswoman, was one of the visitors who took advantage of Fenadoce to reconnect with her roots. Although she is originally from the city, she currently lives in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, and was surprised by the fair’s progress. She commented: “It’s been many years since I last visited Fenadoce and I noticed a lot of changes. Everything is so beautiful, I have never seen so many delicious sweets in one place. The organization of the event is impeccable, it really is a party for the whole family to have fun.” She also shared that her favorite pastry is pastel de nata.
On the other hand, Carlos Eduardo Lopes, a 42-year-old Uruguayan who lives in Rio Branco, visited the fair for the second time. He has relatives in Pelotas and specifically chose the Fenadoce season to return to the city. He said: “We came here for the day because it’s a beautiful place with lots of things to do. We left the routine of work and came here. My favorite sweet is quindim, and in Uruguay we don’t have that, so we came here to enjoy it.”
Contest to name the Ant
Fenadoce surprised this weekend with an exciting contest to choose the name of its adorable mascot, the Ant. This exciting contest will be divided into two exciting stages. The first phase has already started on Saturday (03), with the launch of an exclusive form on the official website www.fenadoce.com.br, where anyone can send their creative suggestions to nominate our dear Ant. You have until the 10th of this month to access the site and share your unique idea.
After the deadline for submitting suggestions, the fair’s talented Organizing Committee will be responsible for selecting the ten best proposals for the next stage: popular voting. This voting will also take place on the Fenadoce website, allowing all event enthusiasts to participate in the final choice. Throughout the duration of the event, we’ll be eager to reveal the name that will receive the most votes.
Program with lectures starts the week
Participate in the 29th Fenadoce, an unmissable event that is moving Pelotas this Monday (05). In addition to the usual attractions, we are hosting the first groups of free school visits, an annual social action. Each public school student who visits the event with their school will have the opportunity to enjoy delicious sweets and receive a ticket to Park Tupã.
