On Sunday (21), the Antiga Matriz Cultural Space, in Dois Irmãos, will hold a concert as part of the Cultural Season. The event, entitled “Camerata Ivoti Concert – Ascarte & Instituto Ivoti”, will start at 6 pm. This special night is part of the program that will last until November, offering monthly and free attractions.
The commemorative concert will feature works by renowned composers such as Piazzolla, Villa-Lobos, Mahle, Jobim, Villoldo and others. This performance is possible thanks to the Culture Incentive Law, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the collaboration of the Ivoti Institute.
Camerata Ivoti, formed in 1994 by Ascarte teachers and students, is one of the three orchestras in the music education program developed in partnership with the Ivoti Institute. The orchestra, which has already toured Europe seven times, demonstrates dedication and love for music, uniting the group in search of technical and artistic improvement, as well as the development of a critical conscience in relation to the local and national cultural reality.
In addition to the concert, the public will also have the opportunity to visit the exhibition “Tacho e Homem de La Mancha”, curated by Luciana Nunes and Angelo Reinheimer. The show, open until May 28, features drawings and cartoons inspired by the character Don Quixote, created by the Spanish writer Miguel de Cervantes. Tacho’s works were influenced by the adventures of Quixote, who imagined windmills as dragons, fighting them.
The 2023 Cultural Season of the Antiga Matriz Cultural Space is organized by the Association of Friends of Historical and Cultural Heritage of Dois Irmãos, with funding from the Municipality of Dois Irmãos, through the Department and Municipal Council of Culture. The event is supported by Becker Empreendimentos Imobiliários and Cortecor Imagem Corporativa.
