Starting next Monday, May 22nd, Prataviera Shopping, in Caxias do Sul, will start the third edition of the Winter Book Fair. The program runs until June 3 and will cover a variety of activities, including book sales, storytelling, literary workshops and exhibitions. Students from public and private schools in the municipality will actively participate in these activities.
On the third floor of the mall, the bookstore Other Pages, in Passo Fundo, will provide hundreds of titles for all age groups, at affordable prices. The sale of the books will take place during Prataviera’s opening hours, from Monday to Saturday, from 9 am to 8 pm.
Literary activities will be held on the second floor of the mall. They include knocker workshops, conducted by members of the Caxiense Aldravianista Movement, and chronicle workshops taught by writer Gustavo Tamagno. The Sesc team and writer Kalunga will be responsible for storytelling.
In the last edition of the Prataviera Book Fair, in 2022, around 90 students participated in workshops and storytelling. Among them, three students from Colégio Tiradentes stood out by producing aldravias, a style of poetry, during one of the workshops. They were nominated to the Machado de Assis Academy of Letters (ALMA), in Porto Alegre, and became members of the academy at the end of the year.
