At Loja do Bem at Shopping Pelotas, solidarity is highlighted once again. Until the 19th of May, the Support Group of the Sociedade Portuguesa de Beneficência de Pelotas will be present at the venue, publicizing the Gala Pless show and selling tickets for the philanthropic event in favor of improvements in the wards of the Unified Health System (SUS) of the Hospital Sociedade Portuguesa de Beneficência.
The presentations of the Pless Escola de Ballet Ballet show will be held at Teatro Sicredi, at 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm on May 20th. Tickets cost R$150.00 and all proceeds will go to the hospital.
In addition to ticket sales, the group’s volunteers are also promoting actions in favor of the hospital, such as collections for a philanthropic thrift store. Those interested in collaborating with improvements in the SUS wards of Beneficência Portuguesa can donate used clothes, gift items and decoration that will be sold in bazaars throughout the year.
Beneficência Portuguesa has seven inpatient units that serve members, health insurance plans of various types, private individuals and the SUS. Donations and the amount collected through the Gala Pless event are mainly used to purchase items such as wheelchairs, sheets, blankets and tableware for use in meals served to patients, in addition to equipment and renovations in the hospital wards.
Loja do Bem is located in front of the Food Court and is open from Monday to Saturday, from 10 am to 10 pm, and on Sundays from 11 am to 10 pm.
