The party starts on the 18th, Thursday, with a tribute to Tim Maia with Tonho Crocco, lead singer of band ultramen, who will sing the greatest hits of the MPB icon. On Friday, the 19th, the band Workstation, one of the most renowned rock bands in Rio Grande do Sul, will play national and international rock and pop classics, with surprises throughout the night. On Saturday, the 20th, the Rock Party features renowned musician João Antônio, who opens the Workstation show, followed by a collective congratulations and a flash mob performance with the home team. And there’s more rock the following week!
Sixteen Station also introduces something new in its anniversary month! From May 24, 2023, on some Wednesdays, the house will offer Takeoke. The proposal is for music and rock lovers to sing accompanied by a band, Take Rock. Whoever sings the first song wins a 300ml draft beer.
Closing the Sixteen Station anniversary schedule, a solidarity night with the First Aid Medical Band. It is worth mentioning that all proceeds will be donated to the Casa de Apoio Madre Ana, in Porto Alegre. On this day, there will be a “sleep” with activities for children in the halfway house and family members can come to Sixteen Station to enjoy the show, snacks and drinks at the Pub.
“We are happy to fulfill an old dream of both partners, which was to open a space dedicated to rock music and culture here in Porto Alegre. We feel that, each day that passes, our customers feel more embraced by this project, in an environment designed to be fun and welcoming. We are proud to say that we created a place that was missing in the city and that rock is more alive than ever!”, celebrates the owner of the house, Gabrielle Crivelli Fraga, who also acts as a cultural producer.
“Sixteen Station’s importance to local culture these past few months is indisputable. It is a space that has been fostering the rock scene in Porto Alegre after a very challenging time. Giving voice to local artists. In addition, it is a meeting point for lovers of rock music and culture. Making it possible to bring together a vibrant and engaged community”, evaluates the partner, Joni Guzenski, vocalist of the house band, Workstation.
