The Municipal Secretariat of Culture in Novo Hamburgo has promoted various forms of cultural manifestation, allowing art to occupy different spaces in the city. This Tuesday, the 9th, Casa das Artes (Avenida Primeiro de Março, nº 59, in the center), opened the exhibition “Shapes in Motion”, by the visual artist Ariberto Filho.
The exhibition will be open to the public free of charge at Casa das Artes until May 31, from Tuesday to Friday, from 9 am to 5:45 pm, and Saturday, from 9 am to 3:45 pm.
The exhibition features engravings produced using the “monotype” printing technique, in which ink is inserted into objects and transferred to paper. The collection of engravings presents attempts to represent “forms in motion” and expresses the artist’s study of “the traces left by things and their forms”.
Ariberto Filho graduated in Visual Arts from UERGS and in Design from Feevale University. In addition, he is a professor of Visual Arts in the municipal teaching network of Portão and researches the relationships between teaching, art, philosophy and wandering.
