The 3rd edition of Feira Gibizeira will be held on May 6th and 7th at the State Public Library (R. Riachuelo, 1190 – Centro Histórico), in Porto Alegre. The event includes exhibitions, workshops, chats and the sale of comic books (comics), curated by Guilherme “Smee” Miorando, a comic researcher and supporter of Gibiteca.
Previous editions were successful, filling BPE halls, and this year’s event will feature special guests Ana Luiza Koehler and Edgar Vasques, in addition to animation projections by Ziriguitoon.
The public can participate free of charge in the program, which includes panels lasting 1h30 and workshops from 1h to 3h. To participate in the workshops, it is necessary to register at the email [email protected], with 10 vacancies available for each one.
The curator points out that Feira Gibizeira is an opportunity for comic book lovers to get together and celebrate sequential art, discussing questions about media, system and other themes related to this universe. He also points out that the Gibiteca of the Public Library of the State has become an important space for the Rio Grande do Sul comics scene.
