Mayo Clinic has opened a patient information office in Montevideo, Uruguay to assist patients, their families, referring physicians, insurers and brokers.
Office staff will assist with travel, accommodation, billing and insurance arrangements; provide general guidance for the Mayo Clinic; will make it easier for Mayo to review medical records and coordinate future inquiries. The office will not provide medical care.
The team of Montevideo officewho speaks fluent Spanish and English, will help patients, their families, and referring physicians to schedule appointments at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, in Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona, in Jacksonville, Florida, and at Mayo Clinic Healthcare in London.
The Uruguayan office becomes part of many other offices established worldwide to serve people interested in getting in touch with the Mayo Clinic.
