Next Saturday, May 6th, Esteio holds the Itinerant Producer’s Fair, an activity promoted by the Municipal Secretariat for Economic Development and the Environment (SMDEMA), at Galvany Guedes Park (Avenida Porto Alegre, 505).
The fair in the itinerant format aims to take produce, handicrafts and colonial products or from individual producers to be displayed – and sold – in different public spaces of the city. The action in Bairro Jardim Planalto will be from 2 pm to 6:30 pm.
The SMDEMA initiative complements the traditional producer fairs that take place at five points and gives space for other fairs to participate. The first edition took place on March 12th at Praça dos Emancipacionistas, in Bairro Olímpica. The second was held on April 2, at Praça Coração de Maria, downtown.
The Verdes Campos square (Cristal), in the Três Marias neighborhood, and Luiz Carlos Prestes Ramos square, in the Novo Esteio neighborhood, should also host editions of the Itinerant Producer Fair (exact dates and locations are yet to be defined).
five fairs
Esteio has five producer fairs held in the neighborhoods of Novo Esteio, São Sebastião, Tamandaré, Santo Inácio and Centro. The stalls sell horticultural products, colonial products, breads, cakes, homemade sweets, cucas, sausages, acarajé, pastel, sugar cane juice, coffee, mate, cereals, natural products and handcrafted products from the “Productive Inclusion” project of SMDEMA, between others.
