The funniest competition of the 18th Fenavinho, the Colonial Games, will start this Sunday (30), involving the interior of Bento Gonçalves in a dispute whose big winner is the preservation of culture and traditions bequeathed to the region by immigrants.
The event features eight events that honor the knowledge and skills of the settlers, including the new “Salami Relay Race”. The first qualifying phase will take place in São Pedro, followed by Faria Lemos, Vale dos Vinhedos and Tuiuty.
The winners of each location will compete in the grand final on June 13, during the 18th Fenavinho. The highest scoring district will receive an award of R$3,000 for each school based in the region, while the other ranked districts will receive smaller awards.
In addition to the competitions, there will be shows, gastronomy and quality wines available to the public, and children can participate in out-of-competition games. The Cultural Parade, scheduled for May 28, will also contribute to the final result.
