On the 6th and 7th of May, Valdir’s Bar, located on Rua João Éden, close to the sub-prefecture, will host the Fish, Bread and Wine Festival in the district of Boca do Monte, in Santa Maria. For two days, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy the region’s rich gastronomic and craft production, as well as have fun with musical shows.
The party will take place from 9 am to 10 pm on Saturday (6) and from 9 am to 8 pm on Sunday (7), offering free admission, in addition to a craft fair and food court.
The Department of Rural Development of Santa Maria provides technical advice to most of the exhibitors participating in the festival. The folder has actions to encourage fruit growing, horticulture, fish farming, milk production, colonial chicken farming and wood production.
The Secretary of Rural Development, Rodrigo Mena Barreto, projects that the 2023 Festival will have even more community support than last year. He explains that it is an important moment of valorization of the region’s production.
“It is a place known throughout the city for hosting various events, so people already know and know that this type of party is always successful. It is a time for people to enjoy this party that will have a lot of fried fish, colonial products such as pasta, bread, cucas and others. It will be quite varied musically and will move Boca do Monte, everyone is invited to participate in this great event”, summons the secretary.
Anyone who wants to participate in the programs of the Secretariat for Rural Development should go to the office of the department, at Avenida Medianeira, 141, from 7am to noon, Monday to Friday, and register.
