Novo Hamburgo holds the first edition of the Viver Bem Walk in 2023 on Saturday (6), starting at 8 am, in Lomba Grande. The activity is organized by the municipal secretariats for Sports and Leisure (Smel) and Administration and is open to the entire community, with a special invitation to municipal public servants to participate in the activity.
The route of the first walk will be approximately eight kilometers along the Walahai road, in Lomba Grande. The meeting point will be in front of the Evangelical Community church (Rua Martin Luther, nº 600).
Before the start of the walk, a joint warm-up activity will be performed and, at the end, a stretch. It is not necessary to register in advance to participate, just show up on the day and time.
The Viver Bem Walk will take place once a month in different locations in Novo Hamburgo.
For the coordinator of the Better Age Program (PMI), Raquel Cristina Gonçalves, the project brings many benefits to the participants. “It is an integration activity, reinforcing the importance of physical activity, improving physical conditioning, body awareness and contact with nature in this specific path, providing physical and mental benefits”, she highlights.
