A 32-year-old lawyer from Rio de Janeiro died after suffering a cardiac arrest on a flight from Rio de Janeiro to Texas, in the United States, last Friday (21). Sara Silva Raimundo would participate in an event on entrepreneurship in San Francisco. The family’s struggle now is to get the body transferred to Brazil.
Sara Silva Raimundo felt sick on the plane, received cardiac massage from a passenger, who is a doctor, but remained unconscious.

– Sara fainted, there was a doctor among the passengers, he massaged her chest, she didn’t respond. She was unconscious, her heart stopped pumping blood. They made an emergency landing in New Orleans – said Gilmar Bueno, Sara’s partner.
After the emergency landing, the lawyer was taken to a Louisiana hospital, where her death was declared. She lived in Paciencia, in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro. She was the founder and director of operations for the startup Unicainstância, which helps consumers from the C, D and E classes to solve legal problems.
Expenses with the transfer plus funeral services exceed R$ 100,000, an impractical amount for the family members, who are trying to raise money through donations.
– Our biggest concern at the moment is the bureaucracy between one country and another and that it may take time – said Nathalia Belmiro, friend of Sara.
Nathalia appeals to the authorities for the case to be dealt with quickly, so that family and friends can say goodbye to the lawyer.
