Floripa Shopping, in Florianópolis, receives this Saturday (22), from 4 pm to 6 pm, the characters Maleficent, Aurora and Rei Estevão for a photo session with the public. They are from Cia Grito and will be in town with the play “Malévola – o musical” that will be presented on Saturday (29), at Teatro Ademir Rosa (CIC), in two sessions: at 5 pm and 9 pm.
In order to interact with the public, Floripa Shopping opens its doors to the characters: the villain Maleficent, Aurora and King Estevão will be in the center of the development for a photo session with children and adults who want to record this moment. The free action will be this Saturday, 22/04, from 16h to 18h.
about the show
The play has a total of 16 songs, including classics from the original animation “Sleeping Beauty” and versions of the Broadway musical of the same name. Most of the songs were translated into Portuguese by director Graziela. The musical was shaped by the hand of more than 60 people, including actors, directors and production team. There are 30 actors on stage, who rehearsed the show for about eight months.
Cia Grito’s original adaptation was inspired by Disney’s live action released in 2014, with elements from the animation “The Sleeping Beauty”, from 1959. The story portrays the series of events that transformed Maleficent, a pure and happy fairy, into a creature vengeful, dark and evil after a betrayal.
When her heart shatters and turns to stone, Maleficent curses the baby Princess Aurora. However, what was not in the villain’s plans was the twist that affection and love would bring to her life. From then on, she fights against time to try to undo all the evil she has released.
