This Tuesday, April 18, the lawyer from Rio Grande do Sul Rosângela Maria Herzer dos Santos was nominated Deputy National Prosecutor for the Defense of Prerogatives. The inauguration was carried out by the president of the National OABBeto Simonetti, during the meeting of the Federal Council of the Brazilian Bar Association.
The event also had the participation of the chairman of the Management Council of the Integration and Assistance Development Fund for Lawyers (Trust me), Felipe Sarmento. Simonetti praised the lawyer, highlighting her experience of two decades dedicated to the OAB and stating that she will fulfill the role of assistant prosecutor with great care.
Rosângela Herzer says she is honored with the task of being Deputy National Prosecutor for the Defense of Prerogatives. She says it is an opportunity to contribute with such an important matter and meet the expectations of the law.
Herzer highlights the importance of the OAB as a strong entity that supports and provides a safe haven for lawyers. She also mentions that there are many doubts about fees and that the Federal Council giving voice to lawyers and keeping an open channel is a notable contribution.
Rosângela Herzer dos Santos has a long career at the Brazilian Bar Association. She was sectional counselor for 15 years at OAB-RS and general director of the sectional Superior School of Advocacy for two consecutive terms. In addition, she was president of the subsection of São Leopoldo and chaired the Coordination of the Table of Fees of the OAB of Rio Grande do Sul for three terms. Herzer is a founding partner of Herzer & Santos Advogados Associados.
