This Thursday (13), the CBF Arbitration Commission presented the new guidelines for the 2023 season of Brazilian football to Fluminense. CBF instructor Cláudio Soares went to CT Carlos Castilho, in Rio de Janeiro, for the lecture. So far, 35 teams – 16 from Serie A and 19 from Serie B – have already received an instructor to learn about the new determinations.
The meeting with Fluminense it lasted about an hour and had the participation of the club’s football department, the coaching staff and the players. Cláudio Soares explained the changes for 2023 and highlighted that referees are receiving training on the field and for video referees during the pre-season.
The objective of the Arbitration Commission is to present the new guidelines, in a transparent and democratic way, and remains available to the clubs for dialogue. At the end of the lecture, Cláudio sent the slide presentation to Fluminense and delivered a document in which it is possible to pass on suggestions to the Committee.
Fluminense’s administrative coordinator, Marcelo Penha, highlighted the importance of the lecture for understanding the changes aimed at raising the level of football in Brazil.
“It was a lecture that had the extreme participation of the players and the coaching staff. As football involves passion and feeling, there are always polemics and debates, but this is all constructive and democratic. I think this is the space, and I thank the Arbitration Commission, chaired by (Wilson) Seneme, for providing this opportunity for players to debate, clarify their doubts and contest many times”, he said.
“The possibility was also opened for us to present suggestions, the players themselves and members of the coaching staff. This is very valid, it is a process of building better refereeing and a better Brazilian Championship”, he praised.
Instructor Cláudio also highlighted the value of dialogue so that referees and football players, together, acquire a better understanding of the performance of referees this season.
“I feel flattered to participate in a rich moment like this, of improvement and improvement, and passing on the guidelines that Brazilian arbitration will have in the year 2023. They debated, asked questions and effectively participated. I leave here happy for having achieved the goal I set for myself and, through President Seneme, for passing on these guidelines and for the players to understand how Brazilian arbitration will work this year”, he celebrated.
