On Saturday, April 15th, starting at 7:30 pm, the IV Municipal Meeting of Choirs of the Casa das Artes Foundation will take place in Bento Gonçalves, at the Ivo Antônio Da Rold Amphitheater of the Casa das Artes Foundation. This year, the event has the participation of Coral Hospital Tacchini, Santo Antônio, Faria Lemos, Maturidade Ativa, Trevisani Nel Mondo and Casa das Artes.
The vice-president and soprano of the Coral da Fundação Casa das Artes, Fabiana Keller, highlights what it means to sing and the importance of the millenary art that is the choir.
“I really like Friedrich Nietzsche’s quote that says ‘Without music, life would be a mistake’. If we were to think of so many moments in which music is present in our lives, without it, life would really not be so much fun. Singing and making music is part of being human. Since I understand myself, music has always been present in my life. Choral singing is the moment to bring together people who are enchanted with music to, in chorus, sing the melodies that touch the hearts of the singers and, mainly, of the audience”.

San Antonio Choir
Coral Santo Antônio works in Eucharistic Celebrations in Paróquia Santo Antônio and, eventually, in other communities. Therefore, the repertoire is composed of liturgical songs. It currently has 19 members and is coordinated by Inês Rizzardo and conducted by Gerson de Souza.
Coro Faria Lemos
The Choir Caminhos de Faria Lemos belongs to and represents the district of Faria Lemos – Bento Gonçalves. It was founded in March 2011 through the Caminhos de Faria Lemos Association with the aim of maintaining the musical tradition, which has always been very strong in the district, thus helping to encourage vocal practice. It is currently under the direction of maestro André Arrosi. Jaco Tesser is the coordinator and the choir has 13 singers.
Coral do Hospital Turkeys
The Tacchini Hospital Choir is formed by employees and people from the community, completing this year its 26 years of operation and full support from the Institution to participate in events with the local, regional and state community. Its coordination is Terezinha Prior and Elisete Andreolli, with Gerson de Souza conducting.
Choir of the Casa das Artes Foundation
The Casa das Artes Foundation Choir was created in September 1999 on the initiative of some employees of the Casa das Artes Foundation in Bento Gonçalves, together with some people from the community. In 2019, it released the 20th anniversary commemorative CD, available to anyone who wants to purchase it on the night of April 15th. Currently, the choir has 24 members, has Marcos Paese as president and is under the regency of Gerson de Souza.
Active Maturity Choir
The Coro Maturidade Ativa started its activities in mid-1993 as a social project of SESC Bento Gonçalves. In 1995 the project was restructured and the group became independent, keeping the original name. Currently, Cibele Tedesco does the vocal preparation and conducts the choir and has Therezinha Lanfredi as coordinator. In these 29 years of music, the group has participated in several events throughout the state of RS, interpreting a varied repertoire, prioritizing sacred songs, the preferred style of the members.
Trevisans in the world
The Trevisani Nel Mondo Group was founded by Giuseppe Simonetti in the middle of 1979, currently the group has 44 years of existence. Two songs are written by him: Piante Storte and Monti e Valli.
