From April 20th to 22nd, Pelotas Parque Tecnológico will host the World Creativity Day in Pelotas. The event is promoted with the support of the Municipality of Pelotas to celebrate the date of the 21st. 33 attractions will be offered throughout the day, both in person and online, in various locations, including PPT, Crie-Lab, Co. Place Coworking and eight other hosts: Food Hall Quartier, Axis do Brasil, Otroporto, Espaço de Negócios do Sebrae, Arts Center of the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel), Colégio Municipal Pelotense, Instituto Hélio D’Angola and Rua do Doce. During the three days of the event, Pelotas Parque Tecnológico will remain open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, receiving participants for workshops coordinated by specialists. In Pelotas, the celebration activities for the international date will be led by the designer, an expert in creativity and professor of the Design course at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), William Parolin.
Jeferson Sigales, CEO of Studio Sigales and Advisor to the PPT, points out that creativity is what characterizes his work, making the date even more special for the venue’s programming. “Creativity drives us every day here at Studio Sigales, and this year we couldn’t miss out on this great event that is World Creativity Day. We decided to do our part and contribute to inspiring more people, through lectures on design, food, entrepreneurship and branding here at Pelotas Parque Tecnológico”, he adds.
The arrival of the event also presents expectations for the integration of various segments present in the ecosystem. “It is with great joy that we are going to host these activities at Pelotas Parque on this very significant date, which is World Creativity Day, and counting on so many of our inspiring talents who, on a voluntary basis, come to offer high-level events to the Pelotas community. Unmissable is the best word to call everyone’s participation”, says Rosâni Ribeiro, Executive Director of the PPT.

About World Creativity Day
World Creativity Day, also known as World Creativity Day in English, is a global initiative established by the United Nations (UN). The objective is to make people aware of the importance of creativity and innovation in solving problems related to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The date is already present in 146 cities in 22 countries and has the participation of more than 80 thousand people. In addition, 100,000 scholarships are distributed to young people and professionals in career transition.
About Pelotas Technological Park
Pelotas Parque Tecnológico was officially created in 2016 and is managed by TECNOSUL – Parque Científico e Tecnológico. This is a non-profit civil association governed by private law, with a scientific, technological, educational and cultural nature. The Park has a Board of Directors (Consad), elected every three years, and operates in three major areas in which the municipality already stands out as a center: information and communication technology; health technology and creative industry. Currently, 63 companies operate in the Pelotas Technological Park, including 23 installed in the areas managed by the Park, seven in coworking, 15 incubated and 18 pre-incubated. Among the incubators are Conectar (UFPel’s Technological Base Incubator), CIEMSUL (UCPel’s multisectoral business incubator) and SENATEC (aimed at junior companies). In addition, there are 23 partner institutions. The Park offers a coworking space with a dining area for 55 people, an auditorium for 230 people, two meeting and training rooms and parking for 65 cars. Altogether, Pelotas Parque generates 267 direct and 638 indirect jobs.
