On Tuesday (5), students of Education for Youth and Adults (EJA) at EMEF Paulo VI in Canoas had the opportunity to participate in a financial education activity with professionals from Procon de Canoas. During the action, students and speakers held a relaxed chat on the subject, with dynamics that allowed students to interact, reflect and experience financial situations in everyday life.
This activity is important to help students build financial skills and learn to manage their finances responsibly. Through hands-on activities and discussions, students were able to learn about budgeting, income and how to make informed financial decisions.
According to the class teacher, Lia Mara Scheffer, the project is of great help to the students. “This work in schools allows us to educate future consumers financially, with basic notions of budget and income. We hope this project will help educate new consumers who are aware of their own finances.”
The work of financial education is carried out by the Núcleo de Apoio ao Over-Indebted (NAS) Educação. This project was designed as a preventative measure to help people avoid over-indebtedness and manage their finances responsibly.
Through dynamic activities and simulations of everyday financial situations, NAS Educação seeks to teach basic notions of budgeting and income and help people to make conscious financial decisions. The objective is to provide financial education in an accessible way to the population and help educate consumers who are aware of their own finances.
