On Saturday night (1st), the trio of sovereigns of the 34th Oktoberfest of Igrejinha was chosen. Kádina Correia de Lima Linden was crowned Queen, while Jenifer Isamara Müller and Sofia Camargo Bischoff were selected as Princesses. They will represent the biggest community party in Brazil, which will take place from the 20th to the 29th of October this year.
In the coming months, Igrejinha’s Oktoberfest court will spread the community spirit and joy of the party. They will participate in events and invite communities from different regions of the state to enjoy the happiest days of the year in Igrejinha. The chosen ones were announced during the Curb das Soberanas, an event promoted by AMIFEST (Association of Friends of Oktoberfest de Igrejinha) at Parque de Eventos Almiro Grings.
The trio that takes over the court of this edition of the Oktoberfest of Igrejinha shares feelings of joy, honor and gratitude. Queen Kádina Correia de Lima Linden, 28 years old, expressed her happiness at representing the biggest community party in Brazil. “Oktober is a huge party made with lots of love by volunteers who dedicate their time to make it bigger and bigger,” she said. Kádina also spoke about what the community can expect from her reign. “You can expect a lot of joy, love and dedication. Since the beginning of the workshop, I have always made clear my passion for the party, for the culture and for the traditions. This year is going to be amazing,” she celebrated.
Princess Jenifer Isamara Müller, 26, highlighted the feeling and commitment to taking the name of the party with her. “It is a great honor and joy to be chosen, because Oktoberfest is an emotion that you really experience together and, today, more than ever, I could feel it in my skin”, she celebrated. “I am committed to bringing joy and publicizing our party wherever we go and honoring the title of princess that was granted to me”, added Jenifer. Princess Sofia Camargo Bischoff, 22, defined the feeling of being one of those chosen as “indescribable”. “There were 47 days of a lot of preparation, dreaming of this day. It’s a very good feeling, of great pride in what we’ve done so far and of commitment and dedication going forward. I want to honor the 3,000 volunteers we have at our party”, exclaimed Sofia.
the president of AMIFEST, Marcelo Kunst, in turn, spoke about the expectations after this kick-off of the 34th Oktoberfest in Igrejinha. “Now with the court elected, the expectation is that we will actually start work. During this period, we will work hard to publicize the party and we still have some definitions to be made, in relation to the shows, the beer brand and the programming of the dance bands, for example. Now it’s time to lower your head and work – that’s our watchword”, reported Kunst.
The new chosen trio received the sashes and crowns of the representatives of the 33rd edition: Raíssa Mirella Schäfer (Queen), Thaís Chaiane Volz Wiebling and Lara Luísa Kunst (Princesses), who said goodbye to the reign with a special tribute and in an emotional way.
Tribute to the eternal sovereigns and musical attractions marked the night
On a festive night, the community followed a special program, which included the cultural show “Where dreams happen”. Inspired by the eternal sovereigns and women of the church, the presentation portrayed a girl who sought to fulfill her dream of representing the biggest community festival in Brazil, while listening to her grandmother’s stories. The presentation was generally coordinated by Ana Paula Petzinger Kunst, together with the commission, which includes Fernanda Wallauer, Liége Brusius, Alana Jost, Eliani Gewehr, Francieli Rech, Josiane Sperb, Patrique Arnold, Rosana Dienstmann and Stephanie Silva.
Organized and performed by volunteers from the party, in addition to featuring performances by the typical band Macega Show and the German Dance Group Kirchleinburg, the show moved the audience by rescuing Germanic history and traditions. The night also featured a performance by Vini Netto and ended with a show by Banda Brilha Som.
