The city hall of Caxias do Sul promotes the 1st edition of Ecofest. The ecological party takes place on Saturday (01/04), at Ecoparque and at the Botanical Garden. Environmental, educational, health, culture and leisure spaces are being organized, with programming from 11am to 6pm. The event is free and the official opening will be at 1:30 pm.
The main idea is to create a space for coexistence through outdoor picnics with various entertainment options for the public. In addition to organizing the event, the Municipal Secretariat for the Environment (Semma) will also be distributing ecological calendars, promoting the responsible adoption of dogs with the Department of Animal Protection and providing a guided visit to the Botanical Garden (the latter will take place at 3 pm). As an extra attraction, there will be publicity for the 33rd Torres Ballooning Festival, which will be exhibiting a balloon with a demonstrative flight for the public.
The Municipal Health Department will provide guidance on first aid and Aedes Aegypti control, as well as carrying out the verification of vital signs in partnership with the SEG, the Red Cross and Environmental Surveillance.
The Secretariat for Sport and Leisure (Smel) will provide toys and the Playful Bus for children. The Department of Traffic, Transport and Mobility (SMTTM) will be present with the traffic school. The Secretariat of Agriculture (Smapa) will sell local products at the Food Bank The program includes the Secretariat of Human Resources and Logistics (SMRHL ) with the Bem Viver program, and the Secretariat of Education, present in partnership with the Quindim Institute.
Throughout the day, the Samae will promote Environmental Education actions and a water truck will distribute water. Codeca, in addition to providing guidance on the correct disposal of waste and cleaning the space, will provide educational games with the presence of Codequito.
In addition to the activities, Ecofest will have several artistic performances during the day, such as Banda Velho Romeu, Banda Eletrosax and singer Ander Oliveira. The Secretariat of Culture will promote the presentation of the Choro and Choro Quintet of the Municipal Orchestra.
The event is supported by Cooperativa Sicredi, Hull Company, Vinícola Casa Onzi, Sorvelândia, Químea Informação Ambiental, Visate, Goncast House, Central de Rações and Primius Rações.
