After passing through Concórdia, Chapecó and São José, Quinta Maldita Invasão promotes meetings in cities in the Serra Catarinense before arriving in the Capital of Santa Catarina. The project to disseminate poetry and literature from Santa Catarina, organized by the musician, teacher and writer Demétrio Panarotto and by the cultural producer Marcio Fontoura, is promoting soirées and literary workshops in several cities in the state.
On the 31st of March, the meeting will be at Artesabana, in Urubici, on the 1st of April at the Public Market, in Lages and on Thursday, the 5th, it’s the turn of Florianópolis. The meeting will be at Ponto Bar and Piadina. All soirees are scheduled to start at 7 pm.
“We’ve already had three big meetings. And to our pleasant surprise, in addition to the local community, we had the participation of Haitians and Venezuelans who gave a special glow, with the reading of poems in Creole, French and Spanish. It was really cool to experience this moment when languages meet”, says Panarotto.
Approved by the 2022 Elisabete Anderle Prize, the project is completely free and promotes a rapprochement between new authors and other well-known writers. The production of the project is by Desterro Cultural in partnership with Expancine Produções.
