Weddings, graduations, baptisms, engagements, fraternizations and night outs are some of the events that can take place throughout the year. But what to wear on each occasion? It is not always an easy task to select a look for all these events. The choice of look depends on several factors such as the weather, the formality of the event and the time of day.
That’s why we invited Luciana Won – creative director of Dolps, a party fashion brand -, to share some essential tips that always work for every appointment. Check it out below:
Marriage:
“If your event is a wedding, both at night and during the day, the tip is always to bet on dresses with a longer length. Because it is often a religious ceremony, a longer length dress is always a good choice. Depending on the time the wedding will take place, you can also opt for lighter and more fluid fabrics or heavier and full-bodied fabrics.”
Graduation:
“For graduation, the tip is to bet on a more chic piece. For graduates, the choice is always a long dress or, if you like more different pieces, a tailoring set combined with nice shoes and accessories also works! If you are a guest or family member of a graduate, there are several clothing options that you can bet on. Long dresses, midi or pantsuits are always good ideas.”
Baptized:
“As the christening is a super intimate, serious and special moment, the advice is to bet on a more closed look. For this occasion, light tones always combine super well and convey elegance. In the case of dresses, a midi piece is the perfect choice!”
Night out:
“There are no rules here, it all depends on your mood for the day. I think it’s super cool to invest in pieces with sparkles, like sequined dresses and lurex sets, they look great at night. Depending on the event, a mini length dress is also super stylish.”
Work party:
“For a work party, the look depends a lot on how the event will be and how the place you work is. If it’s something smaller and during the day, bet on a pantsuit set. If it’s an evening event, with music and in a more lively place, invest in more funky pieces, such as jumpsuits, skirts, blouses and, if you want, a dress with a longer length would also look great.”
