The 10th Municipal Fish Fair in Pelotas will start on Monday (3rd) and continue until Easter Sunday (9th). There will be 41 market fishermen authorized to sell fish in the Center and in stalls installed in the city’s neighborhoods. Service will be from 8 to 18 pm, with small variations.
The performance of the stallholders and the hygienic-sanitary conditions of the products will be supervised by professionals from the Food Sector of the Sanitary Surveillance of the Municipal Health Secretariat (Visa/SMS), with the aim of ensuring the health of consumers.
Fish and shrimp will not be listed, but the SDR Fairs Sector anticipates that prices will not show significant differences between one stall and another. Shrimp, for example, should cost around R$ 10.00 with shell and head and R$ 35.00 clean. The most common fish are traíras and mullets.
