The Garden of the Municipal Department of Water and Sewage (Dmae) receives the first edition of the Vegan Fair this Sunday (2). The event takes place at Rua 24 de Outubro, nº 200, in the Moinhos de Vento neighborhood, from 12:00 to 18:00. The garden has free access and is open to the public.
In addition to the traditional stalls with works of art, craft beer, sushi, burgers, snacks, cosmetics and charitable thrift stores, the Fair will have sweets, Easter eggs, truffles and a variety of gift options.
Another novelty announced by the organizer of the Porto Alegre Vegan Fair, Taís Pereira, is that the event will open space for new exhibitors. “Now we have fixed stalls with transsexual artists, who bring their work to the fair”, she says.
This edition will have 20 exhibitors in total. The activity is organized on a voluntary basis by the Animal Defense Movement of RS, and the proceeds go directly to the 295 animals assisted by the five participating NGOs.
