Last Tuesday, March 28, Associação Rota Romântica gathered its members and municipalities to hold its annual assembly. On the agenda, accountability, a review of activities in the last year and actions carried out in the 14 cities on the itinerary.
Projecting 2023, Terezinha Marina Kuhn Haas, President of the entity, listed the objectives for the year, highlighting the conclusion of the photographic walks and the awarding of the best photographs taken in the 14 cities.
In addition, the creation of new itineraries, such as those in Morro Reuter and Santa Maria do Herval, in Presidente Lucena, Linha Nova and Ivoti. “People want new experiences, with other options for visiting and entertainment in our region. It is these new possibilities that we want to bring with these itineraries that develop local entrepreneurs and encourage tourism in cities”, highlights Terezinha.
On the occasion, Gilberto Schäfer, treasurer of the entity for 11 years, was honored with the title of “Honorary Associate” for the volunteer work carried out for so many years. Vanessa Karine Spindler from São Francisco de Paula, Raiama Trenkel from Ivoti, and Paraskevi Bessa-Rodrigues from Novo Hamburgo were also appointed to the Advisory Board of the Romantic Route – 2023-2025.
The meeting ended with a lecture by Evandro Schütz, specialized in adventure tourism. Schütz brought figures from the sector, emphasizing that the Romantic Road has great potential to explore in this field. Today, around 40% of tourists look for destinations with water, with great biodiversity and cultural options for entertainment,” said Evandro.
The assembly took place at the Casa de Cultura de Morro Reuter. The mayors Carla Cristiane Chamorro from Morro Reuter, Nestor Tissot from Gramado, Mara Susana Stoffel from Santa Maria do Herval, Jerri Meneghetti from Dois Irmãos, Jorge Darlei Wolf from Nova Petrópolis, Luciano Klein from Picada Café and Airton Haag vice-mayor of Estância Velha, in addition to tourism secretaries.
