The Carnival of Canoes 2023 will reach its peak next Sunday (2) with the parade of the samba schools. Eight samba schools enter Avenida Inconfidência, between Rua Felipe de Noronha and Rua São Pedro, starting at 4:30 pm, with free access.
According to the secretary of Culture, Eduardo Paim, expectations are high for the resumption of presentations. “The parade comes to close an intense schedule of our resumption of Carnival in Canoas. This popular festival, so important for the people of Cano, will close on a high note, with a beautiful parade by the schools that have been preparing for this moment for a long time”, he highlights.
The parade will start with the access group, with Império da Mathias opening the avenue at 5 pm. The closing takes place at 22:45, with the Soares Samba School parading. For those who want to follow along, access will be free. Carnival 2023 is organized by the City of Canoas, through the Secretariat of Culture.
