With 22 years of experience in milk collection and industry, Laticínios Deale, an associate of the Dairy Industry Union of Rio Grande do Sul (Sindilat), inaugurates, this Saturday (1/4), its first production branch in the municipality from Aratiba (RS).
With a production capacity of 250,000 liters of milk per day, the new factory was installed in the Linha Liso community. In operation since October last year, the unit is focused on fine cheeses, such as Prato, Cobocó, Coalho, Gruyere, Parmesan, Tropical, grated cheese, as well as cream and cream. The plant has so far generated 60 jobs.
According to the director of the company, Alexandre do Santos, the expansion movement is linked to the segmentation process of the factories. The headquarter, which completes 12 years on the opening day of the production branch and is located in Almirante Tamandaré do Sul (RS), will be destined solely for the manufacture of threaded products. “That way, we have a more efficient job, with less machine setup and more automation. In addition, we increased production, gained in competitiveness and efficiency, ”he says. In Aratiba, the factory has a fully automatic production line. Deale has two other branches that receive milk in the municipalities of São Martinho and Catuípe, both in RS.
President of Sindilat, Guilherme Portella, points out that “milk is one of the main agricultural activities in the State and the expansion of industries in the sector values local production, generates jobs and strengthens the region’s economy. Congratulations to Deale.”
Present with its products in almost all states of Brazil, with a distribution center in Brasília and another in São Paulo, Deale is Halal qualified and has producers in more than 90 municipalities in Rio Grande do Sul.
The company’s initial idea, remembers Dos Santos, was to acquire a plant in Santa Catarina. “In mid-2014, when we were heading towards Itá, in SC, we passed through Aratiba and asked a milkman for directions. He took my card and passed it to the mayor of the city who called me and encouraged me to stay in the region”, he recalls. The invitation was strengthened by the fact that Aratiba is in a strategic region, with a strong dairy basin and small producers.
